At the time of writing this is not a brewpub, but it is a modern craft beer bar on the ground floor of a new building directly across the pedestrian entrance from street level to the Blackpool North railway station - so very handy for a first or last beer. Cask, keg and cans available with plenty of choices, although the hand pulls with their own badges on are rebadges from their partner breweries including the local Fuzzy Duck, Manchester's Seven Bro7thers and Tiny Rebel in Wales. They have guest beers though from these, local and beyond on both cask and keg and it's all very reasonably priced. Food can be ordered too and its built in front terrace is under the buildings overhang so is sheltered.

Despite knowing the Blackpool Eye is reinforced glass the brain still tells you to test it out before standing on it for the first time as I found out up the tower. Back down on the ground this beer soon followed. Near black slightly understated stout taste but plenty of mildly milky roasted in aroma.

Lots of loose change is slotted into coin push machines on seafront amusements and on piers' like in Blackpool where I found this beer. These were invented by Albert Crompton in Kent in 1964. Hazy blonde with a creamy head, it's session strength and very tropical fruity. Good stuff.

Mariah Carey's first film where she took a leading role was called 'Glitter'. It's about as good as this cider, which isn't very! Heavy standard red-berry flavours to go with its colour, and very sweet.

On the day in history I'm drinking this beer, in 1702, the first official census of modern times took place in Iceland. From that original to this one by Garden Cider, which although has an underlying apple flavour is quite bland with it, although crisp at the same time. Pale yellow .

Deadication cider to Arthur Conan Doyle, who's books gave us one of the most iconic British literary sleuths in Sherlock Holmes, he was born on this day in 1859. From the mythical brit to actual British apple made cider, with the fruit potent, sweetish - allowing minimum bitterness - healthy enough tasting.
