On the day I'm drinking this beer in history in 1919 First World War belligerents made hay by signing the Treaty Of Versailles, formerly ending the war, and unwittingly sowing the seeds for the next one. Hazy golden with bitter-sweet hoppy tropical fruit notes.

Time capsule beer with a lavish wedding for one of the wealthiest men in the world; Neil Young headlines the Glastonbury Festival: Hungarians defy new government restrictions on gay gatherings with a massive turnout for their Pride festival - on the day I am drinking this. Golden colour and style, solid in both respects. Not the most flavoursome but healthy.

Took a bit of a ribbing from the locals for unwittingly pulling off the pump clip to read it and not being able to get it back on - it was way too dark at the bar with a dark clip in my defence!!! Solid Barley Wine with its Barrel Ageing evident and a positive in taste. Not the strongest in the style but strong and sticky-sweet enough here.

I wonder if the King knows the vast vast majority of coins in circulation still have his mother's head on? The circulation of this citrus based brew should be pretty good as there's flavoursome hoppy tropical fruit in both aroma and taste.

Deadication beer to King Henry VIII, who revolutionised the religious order in England, mainly for his own purposes, he was born on this day. I'm not sure there's ever been a ruby revolution outside of this beer, which is a session strength darker malty brew with plenty of flavour.
