Olut Profile - Brewver

Taking in a bit of 'Glastonbury' with this beer - not quite as good as the golden era of the 90's but not bad! This beer certainly won't be referenced in any golden era of craft brewing, it's certainly peachy but overbearing in its flavour. Its lower strength makes it palatable and has plenty of the fruit in aroma.

Deadication beer to actor who died on this day Jack Lemmon back in 2001. It feels like there should be lemon in this citrus based tropical fruit brew, but it's got a slightly more sweeter taste than this, with some citric bitterness also available. Hazy golden colour and a full body, there's none of its strength impacting on the brew, it's actually quite a soft mouthfeel.

On the day I'm drinking this beer in history, in 1954 the World's first Nuclear Power Plant to produce electricity for the 'grid' opened in Obninsk in Russia. That power move by the USSR was 71 years ago, this 'Power Move' currently rates 7.1 on Brewver! Golden, hoppy, good tropical citrus notes in both aroma and taste with a light citric bitterness attached. Good body but softer than expected in the palate.

Traditional wood-heavy pub, done very well and looks updated, with a heavy nautical influence in its decoration. It's one long room with a bar in a central position and the side wall. Badger ales are the mainstay here, with their latest seasonal available which I partook in. There was four real ciders available too. A 'Yard Of Ale' glass is in a prominent position on the bar - not sure whether it ever gets used or now!
