0.33 l can from 'SpeciaalBierPakket.nl', canned in October 2025, I guess. Pitch black with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty, quite roasty, a little herbal-spicy aroma of dark chocolate, hard roasted coffee, licorice and some juniper. Quite sweet, malty, fairly roasty and a bit herbal-spicy taste of dark chocolate, hard roasted coffee, licorice, roasted hazelnut and some juniper, followed by a long, fairly roasty-bitter, minimally boozy finish. Full body, smooth and slightly oily mouthfeel, very soft carbonation. Very sublime brew, the jenever matches perfectly with the robust malt base. Can't ask for much more.

0.33 l can from 'SpeciaalBierPakket.nl', best before December 2030. Pitch black with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, light brown head. Sweetish-malty, quite roasty, fairly smoky-medicinal and minimally fruity aroma of dark chocolate, hard roasted coffee, peat, iodine, whisky and a touch of dark fruits. Fairly sweet, malty, rather roasty, very smoky-medicinal and a bit fruity taste of hard roasted coffee, dark chocolate, ash, licorice, roasted hazelnut, peat, iodine, whisky, light dark fruits and traces of green apple, followed by a long, rather roasty-bitter, minimally woody finish. Full body, smooth and gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Tasty brew, quite complex, fairly rich and saturating. Good one.

0.33 l bottle from 'SpeciaalBierPakket.nl', bottled in August 2025. Black with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Intensely sweetish-malty, slightly vinous-fruity aroma of molasses, raisins, prunes, port and some cocoa. Rather sweet, malty, moderately bitter, gently roasty and slightly vinous-fruity taste of dark chocolate, molasses, hard roasted coffee, licorice, raisins, prunes and some port, followed by a long, gently bitter, a bit warming finish. Full body, smooth and almost oily mouthfeel, very soft carbonation. Rich and saturating beer, not as complex as previous variants but a solid sipper for sure.

0.33 l bottle from 'SpeciaalBierPakket.nl', bottled in October 2025. Pitch black with a thin, dense, slowly diminishing, light brown head. Sweetish-malty, rather smoky-medicinal, roasty and slightly fruity aroma of peat, iodine, hard roasted coffee, ink, dark chocolate, bourbon and traces of vanilla. Fairly sweet, malty, rather roasty-bitter, very smoky-medicinal and slightly fruity taste of dark chocolate, hard roasted coffee, licorice, ink, peat, iodine, fruity bourbon and hints of vanilla, followed by a long, quite roasty-bitter, a bit salty and a little boozy finish. Full body, smooth and slightly oily mouthfeel, very soft carbonation. Very rich, intense and saturating brew, high complexity, superb balance and mouthfeel. I'd almost say classic De Molen stuff, absolutely top notch, right up my alley.
