The next beer might even be better. B.C."H." = British Cask "Head" - to be perceived as some disparate lonely looking bubbles, uncertain of their CO² content, and because of their scarcity, of undefinable colour. UFO's: Unspeakable Floating Obscenities MF: NO, that isn't it. That's mouthfeel, in civilized countries. I hereby solemny propose a law to be instated by all beergeeks, -amateurs, -lovers, -tasters, - enthusiasts that forthwith the use of the infernal spice, known as coriander, is forbidden for at least the five first years of brewing, and later only to be tolerated by explicit consent of minimum five different accredited beerorganisations. Infringements ought to be sanctioned by denouncement to the international beerpress and public drainpour of the offending brew.

Small, receding yellow head over veiled reddish brown beer. Typical Walloon, bit spicy/herbal, dark malts' intoned stronger beer. In the background obvious spices with combined aromas. Bitterish-malty. Here the spices are even more obvious, lending extra dryness. Orangepeel, and apparently, apricotmash, coriander (not disturbing). Good carbonation, medium bodied at least, slick-oily. I despair about a majority of Walloon breweries, even new ones - they seem stuck in an ultra-classical frame (blond, dark, tripel, wit, X-mas...). There's almost never surprise possible. Txs to Stef!

Clear metallic amber beer, finely carbonated under a good, slightly off-white head. Bit herb, quite spicy nose, malty and a tad dusty. Almonds, again rather spicy; dried, dusty herbs. Way too sweet for a Belgian tripel. And neither enough attenuation. Good carbonation; faint alcohol (+sweetness). Ho-hum "tripel" - or Triple as the mentioning on top of the label. Well, the Dutch just love to use French within Belgian context, even when they know sh**. Txs to Stef!

Stable, medium to good white head, bit fluffy, over lightly veiled, very carbonated golden beer. Aromatic, fruity aroma, but also a lot of cardboard. Passion fruit, white grape, etc. Again cardboard in the taste, quite bitter, if only momentary. Resiny, and also resiny feel in the MF, oily, old leaves. Slick, good carbonation, medium bodied. Rather average IPA, if not much wrong - the cardboard flavour excepted. Old hops?

Good, whipped eggwhite-like, dense yellowish head over clear metallic copper beer with fine pearling. Malts, pale and toasted, an inviting smell as from lawn-aired laundry; freshly harvested grain. Soft sweetness with again this 'aired laundry' impression. Quite grassy. Light body, soft carbonation. Rather average in the end. Txs to Stef!

Good white head over copperish, clear golden beer; doesn't look very carbonated. Sweet malts, summerwheat, and strangely wheatacidity suggested - no wheat in the bill - and honeyish. Some bitterness all the same, but then the flavours fades away. Bit green shoots. Light, soft carbonation, slick. Good on a nice summers' day.

Transparant bubbles, fast reduced to one white circle over hazy yellow-ochre beer. Sourish grapes with wild yeasts, Bretts (the good ones!), farmyard odours, and white wine, lemon. Sourish, grapey; even more expressly white wine, horseblanket. Spring leaves. Ultra dry, tart, not really fully carbonated. Acidthinning and some -burn. Fantastic "Brut" beer, with an outspoken gueuze character. Yet another gem from Jitka!

Pours viscously to black beer with a small tan head. Chocolate, ashes, roast, liquorice, cacaodrink. Again chocolate, dry roast, bit mineral, spinach, faraway liquorice-like sweetness. Full bodied, viscously slick, not very carbonated. Classic Imperial stout without much else - but also without any pastry addition, thanks heaven! Txs to Stef!
