Deep brown. Sweet caramel, loads of toasted grain, a bit earth. Medium bodied. It’s ok but too grainy.

Brown with a tan head. Caramel, toffee, lightly roasted malts. Medium bodied. Has a touch of toasty malt in the finish over chocolate. Easy and delicious.

Small inside space but basically the entire square is available for outdoor enjoyment. We got a table under the big tree and couldn’t have asked for a more perfect moment after a long, warm afternoon of touristing around the city. Cash only. Five taps and were all Ganstaller when I visited- beer was in top form. I opted for the kellerpils and was excellent. Definitely worth a stop after touring the castle or just in general.

A beautiful and cozy bier garten outside and a small dining room style space inside. The interior was really well appointed but completely empty brocade it was a beautiful day to drink in the garden. Service was excellent- quick beers, friendly waitstaff, English spoken fluently (cause I am terrible at German) and happy to explain dishes. The beers were excellent too to bottom (Helles, Pils, Schwarz, Rotbier). Food was spot on. One of my all-time favorites for a beer.
