Quite good in general. Nice meaty stout base with rather fetching peaty barrel vibes. Some rubber, earth, cocoa, smoke, maybe dark fruit. Really enjoyable and drinkable.

Pretty smooth and pleasantly semi-sweet, some tangerine, ripening lemon, nip of white pepper, soft rindy bitterness. Nicely balanced and drinkable.

Bit of a throwback beer, mostly in good ways. Sturdy malt backbone. Rich and semi-ripe citrus fruits. Moderate bitter rind and pine. Some sweet honeysuckle. A little sun-baked straw. Drinks fine overall.

Pours more of a reddish amber than brown. Very basic, sweet, notes of toffee, sugary malts, bread, golden raisins, low bitterness, a little toasted grain. A light coffee accent. OK in small dose but can’t imagine drinking multiple tins.

Can’t fault the look - classic nitro pour, sturdy tight cream topping. Low sweetness, hint of milky twang, decent dry roast, ash, cocoa, old rubber, tobacco. Nice low ABV dark sauce.

Can in the Eurostar, London to Paris. Pretty easygoing stuff, inoffensive, light citrus notes, peach, melon, soft rindy bitterness, mild pale bread. Drinks fine.
