A: GUSHER! Hazy amber, big, foamy, off-white head.
A: vomit, rotten berries, chestnut, old brown bread.
T: very subtle sweeitsh chestnut, toast, berries.
F: earthy hops, mouldy nuts, toast.
P: medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
Something went horribly wrong here, obviously. Infected aroma, hardly any taste... Back to the drawing board!

Bottle via the brewery. Hazy dark brown, stable, foamy, tan head. Aroma of dried fig, date, raisin, banana, brown bread, caramel, toasted almond, aniseed, brandy. Taste has sweet date, raisin & banana in a brown-bready, nutty, bit caramelly malt body with some herbal aniseed. Earthy & herbal hops in the finish, a bit toasty, lingering dried fruits and warming brandy-like alcohol. Medium body, moussy texture, average carbonation. Solid Dubbel, just a bit too herbal and all in all not overly surprising despite the collab hype.
Bottle from Hopduvel. Hazy golden, quickly dissipating, white head. Aroma of grape must, sour cream, hay, green apple, goat cheese, oak, lemon rind. Taste has sour green apple, grape & apricot in a sourdough-like malt body with funky notes of lactic acid, sour cream and hay. Tart grape in the finish, woody tannins, lactic acid. Medium body, moussy texture, fizzy carbonation. Funky, complex and drinkable.
Bottle from Stacks. Bottled: 9/07/2024. Hazy dark brown, small, foamy, tan head. Aroma of prune, raisin, hard caramel, brioche, red apple peel, pear, almond, vanilla, bourbon, leather. Taste has sweetish prune & raisin, some sourish brambleberry in a caramelly, almondy and rye-like malt body with some spicy notes and herbal liquorice. Herbal hops in the finish, lingering dried fruits, sourish tannins and warming bourbon alcohol. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Lacks a bit more body and the sourishness detracts from the main profile too.
Can from Stacks. Hazy ochre, small, foamy, white head. Aroma of ripe peach, pineapple, papaya, sherbet, lime, orange peel, dough. Taste has sweet pineapple & papaya in a doughy, sherbetty malt body; some bitter citrus pith. Floral hops in the finish, juicy stone fruit, citrus rind and warming gin-like alcohol. Medium to full body, fluffy texture, average carbonation. Quite sweet even to AT's standards.
Bottle from Sandersput. Hazy orange, thin, white head. Aroma of pine needle, spruce, oak, plum, apricot, leather, musty cellar. Taste has sour plum, apricot & green apple surrounded by funky notes of cellar & leather; bitter oak within a bready malt body. Tart finish of green apple, musty grape, funky wood. Medium body, moussy texture, average carbonation. Very refreshing, just the right amount of funk.
Can from Stacks.
A: clear golden, stable, foamy, white head.
A: old bread, yeast, cereal, wheat.
T: sweetish grain & cornflakes, bitter yeast.
F: grassy hops, bitter yeast, bit metallic.
P: medium body, slick texture, average carbonation.
Slightly 'off' and unfresh.
