A: muddy red, no head, sediment.
A: cassis, blueberry, prune, jam, cinnamon.
T: sour cassis, blueberry, jam, clove.
F: tart berries, jam, bit spicy.
P: medium body, smoothie-like texture, soft carbonation.
Flavour-wise okay but it's basically a smoothie with alcohol.
Black pepper, black olive, fondant, vanilla. Sweetish brambleberry & raisin, bitter fondant & espresso. Black-peppery hops, chili, vanilla bean, subtle bourbon alcohol. Full body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Delicate.
Brambleberry, blackcurrant, grape, toast, vanilla, dark furniture. Sweetish brambleberry & grape, vanilla, bit sourish. Earthy hops, bit toasty, dried dark fruits, vanilla and warming brandy-like alcohol. Pleasant play between sweet and sour.
Tobacco, leather, cured ham, peat, charred wood, dried fruits, apothecary. Sweetish prune & fig; smoky tobacco, toast. Earthy hops, smoked meat, warming peated whisky-like alcohol. Oily texture. Quite intense still, nice, and the best of the bunch.

BA Project (Dark Ale) : Ardbeg Whisky

Cured ham, black olive, brambleberry, toast, vanilla, tobacco. Sweet brambleberry & prune; bit herbal, meaty, toasty. Woody, vanilla-like finish, dried dark fruits and brandy. Quite good.
Ripe blue grape, brambleberries, cherry tomato, beef stock. Sweet-sourish blackcurrant, grape; soy sauce, meat & clove. Woody, bit toasty finish, clove, dessert wine-like alcohol warmth. There's a complex beer underneath it all, but this is too weird and messy.
Wet wood, oxidised grapes & apple peel. Sweet grape, apple, caramel. Sweet dried fruits, dessert wine-like alcohol warmth. Still enjoyable overall.
