Bottle direct from Fullers webbeshoppe. It pours darkest brown ri black with a handsome bubbly tan head. The aroma is dark and decadent, rich roasted malt, cacao nibs, dark chocolate, toasted nuts, praline, touch of tobacco, some dried/dark fruits and toasted fruit cake. The taste is firmly dry, robust, some pleasing bitterness, bitter - sweet, dark chocolate, cacao nibs, praline, some dull charcoal, dark and dried fruits, plum, prune, eccles cake, burnt toast, touch umami, liquorice, slightly chewy and pipe tobacco with a touch of tannin through the finish. Fulsome body, moderate carbonation and velvety mouth feel. Flavourful and incredibly well balanced. Lovely stuff.

Can from Westhill Service Station. It pours clear amber with a lasting bubbly white head. The aroma is sappy, oily, tangy, plenty of citrus, clementine, orange marmalade, kumquat, orange blossom and dull caramel. The taste is firmly dry, punchy bitterness, touch green, pithy, zesty, bitter citrus peel, kumquat, grapefruit, orange marmalade, waxy rind, spicy, pine and resin with a lingering bitter citrus peel finish. Medium body and moerate, prickly carbonation. Quite an old school malty IPA with very nice punchy bitterness. Rather nice.

Bottle from Aeble, Anstruthter. New apple tick! It pours slightly hazy bright, almost luminous gold. Slight fizz on opening but no head. The aroma is musty, dairy barnyard vibes, animal muck, apple skin, leathery, but later it is bright and zingy, crunchy apple and some red berry. The taste is crisp, dry, snappy, fizzy candy, puckering, crunchy apple, definitely has a red berry/strawberry character to it, light tannin, dry oak, hint of acidity, splash of dry white wine and some funk in the backdrop. Finish is drying and tannic. Lovely depth of flavour and very unique apple character. Very nice.

Can direct from Brewdog's webshop. It pours cloudy/murky dirty blonde with a decent white head. The aroma is vibrant and tropical, juicy, fragrant, lychee, watermelon, quince, greengage, lemon - lime, sherbet, floral and juniper. The taste is fairly crisp with some bitterness upfront, green, weedy, fragrant, floral, slightly soapy, lychee, watermelon, gooseberry, lime peel, greengage, quince, floury bread and a nip of alcohol. The finish is zingy and bitter lime peel. Pretty bonkers stuff. Flavourful, but not sure it all comes together harmoniously.
