Cask at The Iron Duke.in a fancy 180th anniversary mug. It pours clear amber with a fluffy off - white head. The aroma is toasty grains husks, cereal, earthy, woody, toasted nut, muted sweetness, some dried berry, brown bread and hint of sulphur on the back end. The taste is firmly dry, woody bitterness which builds and lingers, earthy, slight resin, toothy, toasty grains, cereal, toasted nut, floral accents, brown bread, biscuit and some spice with a toasty, drying lingering finale. Average body and moderate cask carbonation. Truly old school in flavour profile, but well executed. Probably not for the haze boiiis, but I like it.

750ml bottle from Aeble, Anstruther. Touch of fizz on opening. It pours slightly hazy golden - amber with a few bubbles on top. The aroma is bright, zingy, zippy, tangy, sherbet, lemon-lime, sour apple, apple skin, leathery, must, gooseberry crumble, touch of custard, white grape skin and some funky barnyard,. The taste is crisp, bone dry, tart, puckering, leathery, tannic, lemon - lime, sherbet, crunchy tart apple, white wine vinegar, sherbet, some zingy citrus, grapefruit, salt & vinegar crisps, picked gherkin, oak and a nip of alcohol with a dry, puckering finish. Average body and fine, prickly carbonation. Quite a classy number. Lovely aroma, perhaps a touch too much vinegar aspects on the taste (although it's not dominant).

Can from Tesco Fraserburgh. It pours hazy pale orange with a medium fluffy white head. The aroma is fresh, kinda green, weedy, juicy, tropical, peach cobbler, passion fruit, apricot, tangerine, orange squash and a touch of candy. The taste is initially drynish, juicy, pithy, zesty, tangerine, orange squash, kumquat, touch green, herbal, weedy, muted alcohol and touch of floury bread with a dryish finish. Average body and moderate carbonation. Taste doesn't quite alive up to the aroma, but it's decent nonetheless.

Bottle #089076 direct from the Fuller's webshoppe. It pours clear deep and rich reddish - brown with a bubbly white head. The aroma is sweet and intoxicating, stewed fruits, dried apricot, glace cherry, brandy soaked raisin, light spice, Christmas pudding, cake batter, toasted brown bread, earthy, wood and leather. The taste is fairly smooth upfront, bitter - sweet, toothy, chewy, sappy wood, resin, brown bread, raisin, sultana, glace cherry, candied orange, toasted fruit cake, toffee, some warming booze, toasty spice, leathery and toasted nut with a drying, toasty finish. Medium+ body and moderate carbonation. Enjoyable as ever, perhaps not the depth of previous vintages. Tasty.

Can from the Westhill Service Station. It likes clear bright lager yellow with a fluffy white cap. The aroma is pissy, grassy, leafy, green veg, toasty grains husks, biscuit and bread. The taste is crispy, firmly dry, snappy, green, grassy, leafy, touch of green veg, decent hit of bitterness which lingers throughout, fragrant florals, toasty grains and slightly soapy vibes with a drying, bitter finish. Average body and moderate, foamy carbonation. It's ok, but I prefer fierces other lager offerings.
