Bottle from Raynville Superstore. It pours clear dark ruby - brown with a small yellow - khaki head. The aroma is rich and intoxicating, plenty of dark and dried fruits, raisins, sultana, date, fig, heady notes of rum, rum soaked oak, cola cubes, plum wine, toasted brown sugar and molasses. The taste is smooth, bitter - sweet, rich roasted malt, toasted brown sugar, cola, Dr Pepper, molasses, cacao nibs, booze soaked dried fruits, toasted fruit cake, rum soaked oak, rum baba, malt loaf, earthy, pie crust, warming booze, burnt toast and a touch of liquorice with a drying, toothy finish. Medium - fullsome body and fine+ carbonation. Rum character works we.with the base biers.

Can picked up at Westhill Service Station. It pours clear deep red - mahogany brown with a decent bubbly beige head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, rich fruit character, fig, raisin, prune, date, sultana, toasted fruit loaf, mellow whisky character, vanilla, toffee, honeyed grain/cereal, booze soaked fruit and dundee cake. The taste is initially dry and warming, boozey vibes, fruity whisky, dangerously smooth, raisin, sultana, date, fig, fruit loaf, toasted nut, smooth whisky and well hidden alcohol with a smooth finale. Medium+ body and smooth, fluffy carbonation. Lovely flavour and balance. Very nice.

Can from Westhill Service Station. It pours darkest brown to black with a decent khaki head. The taste is initially smooth, bitter - sweet, dark roasted malt, charred, toasty, deeply roasted coffee, burnt toast, cacao nibs, dark chocolate, slightly ashy, umami, maple glazed donut and a nip of alcohol with a dry, bitter roasted finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Flavourful and surprisingly drinkable.

Can shared by my bro. It pours clear orangey - brown with a small, bubbly off- white head. The aroma is toasty brown bread, woody, earth, dried fruits, raisin, sultana, dried fig, date, fruit loaf, salted caramel is fairly muted and some caramac. The taste is initially smooth, warming booze, woody, leather, light tannin, coffee beans, mellow salted caramel, toasted nut, slightly charred, umami and tannin with a drying, kinda burnt finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Nice aroma. Tastes has a burnt finish which detracts from what is a decent beer overall.

Can picked up at Fierce Bar Abz. It pours darkest brown to black with a small brown head. The aroma is dark roasted malt, milk fudge, sweet, chewy, Cadbury's fudge, mars bar, chomp, gooey caramel, vanilla and Scottish tablet. The taste is smooth, bitter - sweet, dark roasted malt, earthy, charred, some umami, milk chocolate, caramel, chomp, fudge, dull alcohol presence and some coffee grounds with a dry, toasty finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Not nearly as sweet as I had feared (which is very much a positive). Well judged.

The taste is dry, crunchy, tart, puckering, dry oak, tannin, apple skin, vinous, dry white wine, white grape, gooseberry, raspberry pip, muted alcohol presence and some dull funk in the backdrop. Finish dry and tannic. Medium bodied and flat. Bright and moreish. Tasty one.
