Bottle at the Essen Winter Beer Festival, 2015. Vintage 2016? Poured a clear dark brown with a thin broken light tan head. The aroma is light malt, some fruit, caramel. The flavour is moderate sweet with a light bitter with a rich red berry fruit, light spice, alcoholic palate. Medium bodied with lively carbonation and a bubbly mouthfeel.

33cl bottle in the Volkscafé Sint-Jakobs, Brugge on 2nd Dec 2015. Poured a misty amber with an off-white head. The nose had caramel hints, hedgerow red berries and traces of wood. The taste also had some sweet caramel, berries and oak within the flavours, slight whiskey like feel to the overall beer with the alcohol noticeable throughout.

Dangerously smooth.

2016 Whiskey Oaked. Clear, dark copper. Dense pale brown head and lacing. Fine aroma of malt and aged berries of the forest. Good taste, also with dark candy sugar. High and fizzy carbonation is hiding the high ABV.

330 ml bottle, as Adriaen Brouwer Winter Wood 2016 Whisky Oaked. ABV is 10.0%. Mahogany colour, large off-white head. Aroma of brown kandij sugar, caramel, dark dried fruits, oak and whisky. Warming mouthfeel. Rich and malty flavour, fairly sweet, with the same elements as in the aroma. Also hints of mild spices. Good stuff.
