The Passion Fruit Prussia is our non-traditional look at the classic Berliner Weisse style. Brewed with a generous amount of passion fruit, this beer pours golden in color with a nice tart finish. A perfect compliment to the summer heat.

Clear, slightly hazy golden coloured body with absolutely no head at all. Aroma of grass, light fruits, some mellow passionfruit and tropical fruit scents and a small dose of sour and tart elements. Light-bodied; Smooth, milky and creamy malt notes with a touch of residual lactose and grainy flavours along with some sour and tart flavours, from the fruit. Aftertaste is super low key and easy-drinking but showing the fruit flavours and just about nothing else, perhaps some light sugars, but no malt or complexity, just smooth, easy drinking fruit. Overall, a nice beer with some light fruit flavours and a touch of very light malt, but easy-to-drink with the faintest bit of passionfruit around. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from The Perfect Pour in Elk Ridge, Maryland on 18-July-2016 for US$3,99 sampled at home in Washington on Father’s Day 2017 with my two girls on 18-June-2017.

Can. Pours a light and hazy yellow with fizz but no head. Aromas are a bit foul... kind of a sweaty feet with a bit of lemon juice on them thing going... The foulness turns more and more \"funky\" as it sits here and I type... (it’s one of those days where I have 50 things going and there is way too much time between pouring and first sip here, but it seems to have helped the nose.) Flavor is unique and fairly odd. Funky up front, sweet and fruity in the middle and sour on the tail end. Pretty interesting beer and I like it way more than I thought I would after first sniff.

Sampled on draft this beer poured a slightly hazy very pale yellow color with a small foamy white head that faded quickly and left minimal lacing. The aroma was sweetish and tangy with fait tropical fruits. The flavor was tart and s bit sour with a hint of hot pepper and tropical fruit. Medium length finish. Medium body. Ok.

Can shared at RBWG 2016. Pours clear yellow with a foamy white head. Nice tart lemon in the nose, some passion fruit, apricot. Has some bright tartness, a little cereal sweetness, low acidity. Light bodied with spritzy carbonation. Tart finish, some lemon, wheat, hay, passion fruit, a little white grape, kiwi. Refreshing simple sour.

12oz can, courtesy of gregwilsonstl, pours with a hazy straw colored body that supports a thin white head. The aroma offers up mild tart and white wheat and then dusty kidney beans. Strange. The taste delivers smooth tartness, growing a little sour with wheat and then soft thin lemon. Solid refreshing brew stuff.

12oz can, best before 11/15/15, drunk 10/30/15.
Minimally hazy black currant-tinted golden-to-amber beer has a large, off-white head that slowly recedes to cover.
Damn, that’s passion fruit alright. Bold and highly aromatic, but most importantly, authentic and nicely fermented. Behind it, light wheat, dough and bits of lactic acid lurk, all balancing it nicely, but this thing is all about the passion fruit.
In the mouth, it’s moderately sweet, juicy, amply carbonated with moderate tightness and a more dry finish with moderate sourness from the lactic character and a big tropical and earthy juiciness from the passion fruit. Love how much passion fruit flavor they got out of this thing while still keeping it drinkable and overall dry. Definitely highlights more the passion fruit side than the berliner side, but you’ll never get a complaint from me no matter how much fruit character a beer has, if it’s done well.

Received in trade from gregwilsonstl, thanks for the opportunity! Slightly hazy light yellow color with a small bubbly white head that dissipates quickly. Initially intense pitted fruit aromas but that gave way to a light lemony funk and what I perceive as fresh cut potato. Nice lemony tart flavor with some faint graininess and a touch of sweet fruit. Nice flavorful easy drinking Berliner.
