nice red color, more red than amber in my opinion. Very malty nose, lots of sweet caramel malt. Flavour is again big on the sweet caramel malt. smooth mouthfeel, not mch hops though, they are pretty non exisitant. nice beer though

341ml bottle. (5.5% ABV) Pours a clear red-brown with a medium, short lived, creamy, beige head that laces. Sweet malty aroma of caramel, nuts and toast. Sweet malty flavour of caramel, nuts and bread with a mild, bitter hop finish. Light to medium body with a smooth, oily texture and average carbonation. A good amber.

On tap at the Octopus’s Garden, Alma NB. An attractive reddish amber pour; with a full body and a sweet caramel taste; offset by a touch of spice. A pleasant, easy drinking, red ale.

Originally rated August 2009. New at the LCBO and comes in a 6-pack. Pours a caramel colour with an off-white head that leaves a creamy wave of lacing all around. The carbonation is quite light and the bubbles I see are very tiny. Nice caramel smell with some fruit, grain malt and beautiful nutty perfume. The mouthfeel is kind of thin with just a little stickiness in the end. Roasted malt taste, with fruits, nuts and light grain in the aftertaste. Quite a pleasant refreshing red ale that I would drink again.

A reddish brown ale with a thin light moka head. Strong aroma of caramel and light coffee notes. In mouth, a good sweet caramel malt base with nutty notes, roasted malts, and a bit of hops. Not bad.

Golden-copper. Light, caramelly aroma and flavour. Diacetyl noted. Sweet malts and marzipan notes. The most simplistic of the Pump House brews.
