Bottle shared by Shig with all the local cider dorks. Clear, pale gold, froth. Oaky, sticky, caramelized apple sauce nose. Tannic, watery, old floral, faintly sweet, creamy, old oak. Good contrast to the medium. Liked it.

Clear 500ml bottle: 2019 'First Press Vintage', BBE Jan 2022. Drank at home on 26th Oct 2020. Didn't go too well with my spicy and hot 'Singapore Fried Rice' at all. Apples!

500ml bottle 2018 vintage from Dunster village Deli. Pours clear gold, thin white ring atop. As I understand it this producer has changed ownership many times over the years, and is now made in Shepton Mallet. This one lists Taunton as the address. Aroma is light sulphur, sour, apple skin. Taste has a fair amount of funk, some woody notes, light sulphur, apple orchard notes. Fine, but not hitting the high fruity notes.

500 ml clear bottle, as Taunton First Press Original Vintage Cider, from British Corner Shop. ABV is 6%. Clear deep golden, pours moderately sparkling with a shortlived white head. Pleasant aroma of bittersweet cider apples with tannins, notes of oak, hints of sulphites. Semi-dry flavour, notes of cider apples with moderate tannins, feels rather light bodied for its strength, again notes of oak and hints of sulphites.

500ml bottle from Beers of Europe. 2016 Vintage. Lightly sparkling orange golden colour, short-lived fizzy white foam head and aroma of tart apple & mucky barnyard. Taste is tangy apple, some apple skin, alittle caramel, with barnyard funk, woody oak and drying tannin. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry slightly tannic finish. Nicely drinkable.
