Thank you! Sampled draft @ Delirium Hoppy Loft. Dark brown with no head. Nose is iron, sugar, dull leaves & some wet dog. Taste is iron, wet dog, sugar, thin, red grape. Body is grain, thin. Not sure what happened here but I am not a fan.

Draft at Brody’s. Near black with a tan head. Aroma of coffee, dark chocolate, light roast, caramel and woody notes. Flavour is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Tap at Brody’s. Almost black with dark beige head. Light coffee, roasted malts, ash, very dry fruits, paper, tar, light chalk. Under medium sweet with medium roasted bitterness. Medium bodied with slick watery feel.

Tap at Brody’s. Black with cream tan head. Sweet roasted chocolate malts, dark and dried fruit, toffee, taffy, coffee-like, some old wood. Moderate sweet, moderate bitter. Black color, light tan head with short duration. Aroma has notes of coffee, roasted malts and licorice. Flavor with a light bitterness, light notes of coffee, burnt wood, some ashes and roasted notes. Final with some bitterness, roasty. Light creamy on palate.

Good sized sample from The Fedora. Pours black with tan lacy foam. Aroma is chocolate, roast, some light smoke. Taste starts out lightly sweet and roasty before finishing dry and lightly bitter. Flavors of chocolate, light coffee and smoke, some light licorice notes. Mouthfeel is velvet. Really nice beer.

650 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 7.0%. Black colour, moderate tan head. Pleasant roasty aroma, notes of chocolate and mild coffee. Medium sweet and smooth flavour, again with moderate roasty notes of coffee and chocolate, hints of caramel, vanilla and sweet liquorice. Very nice to drink.

Fra flaske på Mi2 Cardinal sep-16: brunsvart med ok skum. Mmm, her er det mange fornøyde fjes rundt bordet. Mørk sjokolade, kaffe, brent malt og et snev av røyk. Supersmud og balansert, lekker og tilbakelent slik de beste portere skal være. Ingen skarpe kanter. Nå er det bare Chesterfield’en som mangler.
