Bouteille.

Originally rated September 2006. Bought at the Dépanneur À-Tout-Prix in Laval, Quebec. Pours a dark copper-amber colour with a big off-white creamy head. Retention is great and patchy lacing is left. Average carbonation made of tiny bubbles. Oh wow ! Amazing aroma, with some spices like pepper and coriander, fruits like oranges and apples, and some Belgian yeast. Slightly creamy mouthfeel and slightly watery which makes this brew quite refreshing. The taste has everything found in the nose. Good spices and fruits mixed well together. I really enjoyed this brew, as it is well-balanced between a session brew and Belgian ale. Highly recommended.

[Bottled at the brewpub] A beutiful amber beer with a huge orange head. The aroma is sweet hoppy with a slight note of grass. The flavor is sweet malty and spicy with nice impression of hops.

Bottle: Poured a yellowish amber color beer with a super huge bubbly head that transformed itself into a real thick foamy head with excellent retention. Aroma of Belgian yeast is striking at first but marries well with the spice mix that includes coriander. Taste is very enjoyable with some nice malt mix with some coriander and Belgian yeast. Very good example of the style and another great beer from this small regional brewery.

Opaque orange, peachy highlights; abundant, ultra-fine yellowish head. Quite spicey-citrussy nose, citruspeel. I must confess that it does smell really authentic. And nice. Quite bitter taste, bark or quinine-like; grapefruit peel, mace. It’s quite good, be it a little harsh. Clearly hops in the head. Well-bodied, gives a stronger alcohol impression than it really is. Tart and dry aftertaste. I wish more Belgian new breweries would make this kind of thing. Grand merci à Sylvain D.

Bottled. Hazy amber, rich lively head. Yeasty, orangey aroma. Medium sweet and pleasantly malty with soft, dense mouthfeel, Flavours of orange and grand marnier. Very drinkable. A thoroughly pleasant and flavourful beer. To achieve true greatness I miss some complexity.
