(Cask at Craft Beer Co Islington, London, 24 Apr 2015) Golden colour with foamy, off-white head. Fruity nose with peaches, bread and apples. Malty, fruity taste with notes of peaches, citrus, a soft malt character and a balanced grassy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and well balanced. Nice one.

Cask. Sheffield Tap. Straw colour, with a light haze. Blotchy, thin, lasting, white head. Very sweet, grainy malts. Some citrus pith. Taste is bitter, with a grainy sweetness. Smooth palate with a citric bite. Finishes long, moderate bitter. Ok.

On cask at Coach and Horses, Dronfield - A hazy yellow body, thick white lacing head. Nose has a lot of fruit, melon, orange, you know... all the sweet stuff. The taste was similar, I got nectarines among a grassy base, lots of sweetness on the way out too. Not that bad really, I had a second one soon after to make sure it wasn’t bad. That was okay too.

Draft at Craft 100 April 2015 - London. Pours clear yellow with a foamy white topping. Biscuity pale malts in the nose with accents of dried lemon. Light sweet flavor with further pleasant biscuit character, subtle bitter citrus rind and grass. Light bodied with fine carbonation; good condition. Drying on the finish with further lightly grassy bitterness, hay, straw, lemon rind. A solid golden ale. Very easy drinking with pleasant nuances.

Cask at Craft 100. It pours very pale gold with a tiny white head. The nose is soft, grainy, toasty, cereal, pepper and weak citrus. The taste is bitter, straw, grapefruit, lemon rind, light grass and white grape with a dry finish. Light-medium body and low carbonation. Not bad, just pretty dull. Ok at best.

2nd April 2015
Craft #100 fest at Clapham. Cask. Light haze on this pale gold beer, no real head. Palate is light, dry and mildly crisp. Light pale malts. Little floralness. Modest citrus peel. Light semi dry finish. Mild marmalade bitter linger. It’s okay but for me, Thornbridge are just falling further and further behind the big craft beer wave in the UK.
