Tijdens vakantie in Italië gekocht en gedronken. Goudkleurig bier met stevige schuimkraag. Hoppig en fruitig in de geur en bitter in de smaak. Smaak blijft lekker hangen in de mond.

500 ml can as Dortmunder. Clear golden body with an off-white head. Aroma is grain, hint of malt and alcohol. Flavor is like any other strong macro lager, quite sweet, light malt/grain, slightly fruity and not much bitterness with some boozy alcohol. Actually the alcohol is not too bad with this one and it’s not totally unbalanced. No problem finishing this can, but would probably never by it again as this style is just uninteresting and boring IMO.

Bottle on the main square of Atrani, Italy. Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma of grain, sweet malt, light caramel, light metallic. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter. Light bodied with moderate carbonation. Bit as bad a I thought it would be but maybe that’s because I’m on holiday :)

Bottle from Flipper, Sanremo. Called Ceres Strong Ale. Golden with a small frothy head. Has a small carbonation with a full lager aroma. Slightly strong in its taste but not overbearing.

Tasted as Ceres Strong Ale Export in Italy. Not an ale but a strong lager with snow white head and golden colour; malt adjuncts in the nose as well as pale malts, grassy hoppiness, noticeable alcohol. Taste sweetish, grainy with warm alcohol and some grassy hops in the finish. Cheap alcoholic beer.

Bottle at Bar Il Gigante, Monterosso. Clear golden body with a thin white head. Low carbonation. Nice lacing. Aroma of metal, corn and a hint of salt. Flavour of alcohol, crusty bread and a lemony tang. Thin body with a watery texture. Average fizz. It does a decent job of disguising the 7.7% ABV but it’s not a beer I would order again.
