Beer Geek Breakfast aged in Tequila barrels.

Aroma is a combination of malts, caramel, chocolate and coffee. The body is medium with light coffee and chocolate flavors, wood, slightly spicy and boozy notes from the barrel aging. It has a creamy texture, average carbonation and a bitter edge on the finish.

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Black, small beige head. Licorice and coffee, some tequila up front. Dry with medium-full body and clean, hard mouthfeel. Tequila and metal, some coffee. Long bitter finish. Flavourful but edgy.

Bottle. Pours straight black, with a nice and dark head. Smell is intense roastyness, as well as some sharp boozy side I recognize from the 1 time I drank tequila... Taste is intensely roasty, roasted coffee, bitterness. Bit boozy towards the back. Thin mouthfeel ( seriously, Eugene, I do not understand your euphoria, even at this ABV,,, ) good carbo. Ok beer.

Bottle from Dranken Geers, Oostakker, Nr Gent, Belgie consumed at Frank (camper) Pickets Lock campsite, Ponders End, Good Friday 3rd April 2015 Black in colour with light beige head, soft in mouth. As opposed to being smooth and fulsome (which you might expect) which it is, just a tad, the Tequila ageing doesn?t really do this many favours. However to be fair I am struggling to think what beer would benefit from being plopped into a Tequila barrel, it would have to be something seriously left of centre. Anyway this is fine. Bottle. Black oily pour, almost no head. Nice aroma of oat, tequila, coffee and red fruit. Taste of bitter coffee, surprisingly fruity hop, boozy tequila, red fruit and oat. Long finish. Very nice and tasty.

Thanks to Beerlover_Ben. 330 ml. bottle split by two. Black, stable mocha head. Nose is sweet tequila, mocha, plenty of brown sugar, creamy, no real barrel, “zure hosties”,… Taste is sweet tequila, candy, coffee, sweet spirit, thick brown sugar, chocolate, sweet, no real barrel, little in the way of barrel but lots of tequila,… Quite creamy, great body for the ABV. Really enjoyed, def. a great fit with my preferences.
