Tap at Hoppy Loft. Lemony, grainy, rich nose. Pretty deep golden color. Lemony, wheaty, creamy flavor. Nicely tangy, with orange. A bit too rich and malty for a saison, but a good beer.

Sampled draft @ Delirium Hoppy Loft during Zwanze Day shenanigans. Rating the same version as sebletitje, I assume that this is the correct entry. Clear (sigh) golden with a white head. Smells sweet, sugary, cereal and some light grass. Sweet taste, white bread malt, sweet cornflakes with white sugar, grains, bitter hay and bitter floral and grass finish. Uber-simple, sweet and almost macro-fare styled. Light & fizzy, I didn’t care at all for this one & too much stuff like white sugar cornflakes in here. No idea what happened here, I think that I like saison’s & the ratings are very good here. Maybe a bad keg? Worn by travel? Or I am just not getting it. (Thx! for sharing people!)

14/IX/13 - on tap @ Hoppy Loft (Delirium café, Brussels) - BB: n/a (2013-850) Thanks to KyotoLefty for sharing the beer!

Clear pale amber beer, creamy off-white head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: ripe fruits, bit funky, cultivated bretta, dairy, hay. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: metallic, grassy bitterness, dairy, funky, hay, weird touch, some marzipan. Aftertaste: funky, little sweet, floral, hay, pretty bitter and dry. I can't help myself but I have the impression that this brewery is overly hyped. I've had several of the Dominus Vobiscum series, and none were as good as their RB scores would like you to think.

(750mL bottle from LCBO) Pours clear medium gold with a huge head of dense white froth, abundant lace. Aroma is dominated by pepper and farmhouse yeast, spicy with a bit of a noble hop-type bite. Beneath that there is a soft sweet fruit character, white grape, apple. Flavour is yeasty and peppery up front, then a bit of malt sweetness and fruity esters, a bit citrusy with a little grape. The light sweetness fades into hoppy bitterness, more pepper, light spice on the finish, slight sour yeast/malt character predominately dry and bitter and crisp at the end. Body medium for style, slightly oily, effervescent carb but not overdone, much of it went to the head. Refreshing, well-made, balanced and reasonably complex traditional saison. Not pushing any boundaries stylistically but great on a warm day.

Draft @ Delirium.

750 ml bottle. Pours a cloudy amber with full white head. Aromas of fruit (peach), light banana, light yeast, and malts. Fuller flavors of dried apricots, spice (coriander and white pepper maybe ginger and cinnamon), plus malts. Light bitter/spicy finish. fairly full bodied for a saison.

Bouteille 750ml.
