Keg at Partyzan, 29/11/14. Hazed chestnut brown with a decent off white covering. Nose is rich malt, biscuit notes, spice, toffee, nutty. Taste comprises candied fruit peel, spice, light bitterings, toffee, malt, light smoke, almond. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent Belgo affair, bitter tempers sweet quite well.

Keg at Look Mum No Hands Southbank. It pours dark brown with a tiny tan head. The nose is sweet, spicy, candy sugar, plum, red grape, prune and brown sugar. The taste is bitter-sweet, spicy, fig, plum, raisin, toasty, earth, roast, coffee, charred wood and cherry cola with a dry, spicy finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. All comes together rather well. Tasty stuff!

Keg at the brewery. Pours clear, dark red-brown with a creamy, mostly-white head. Lovely aroma with dark bread, ripe semi-dark fruits, dates, berries, toasted toffee. Medium sweet flavor with toasty dark bread, further toffee, subtle sugary chocolate, more dark berries, candi sugar, ripe fruits. Medium bodied with fine carbonation, and moderately creamy. Nicely balanced on the finish with a bit of Belgian yeast character, toasted sugars, toasty bread, dark fruits. Great stuff overall. Partizan is definitely one of the best brewers in the UK when it comes to Belgian-inspired styles.
