Optisch zeigt sich klares tiefes Goldgelb bis helles Bernstein mit feiner bis mittelgroßer Perlage. Die weiße, feinporige Schaumkrone wirkt dabei flaumig-stabil und hält mäßig gut. Im Duft getreidig bis brotig malzig, leicht heuig bis würzig hopfig, aber auch etwas muffig. Der Antrunk kommt frisch, gut spritzig, breit malzig, leicht alkoholisch und trocken, würzig herb. Der Körper zeigt eine gute Fülle mit kräftiger feiner Rezenz, geschmeidiger Textur und guter Trockenheit. Geschmacklich und aromatisch hat man getreidige bis brotige Malznoten vor sich. Leicht estrige und alkoholische Noten mischen sich dazu. Das wiederum erzeugt einen etwas überreif-fruchtigen Eindruck, der die leicht trocken-herben Hopfennoten wegdrückt. So wirkt dieses Bier nur mäßig ausgewogen und etwas mastig. Die große Trinkfreude mag dabei jedenfalls nicht aufkommen. Im Nachtrunk fallen die Malznoten rasch ab und eine trockene, wenig aromatische Hopfenbittere breitet sich aus. Mein Fazit: Bayerisches Märzen kann deutlich besser sein.

Gut Forsting Frühlingsfest-Märzen, Flasche von Inn-Getränke, Wasserburg. Das Bier zum Wasserburger Frühlingsfest, abseits vom Festtrubel daheim verkostet. - Kupfergold, blank. - In der Nase sattes getreidiges Malz mit leichter Karamelnote, etwas Toastbrot, ein wenig Butter und Honig und mild-aromatische orangeatig-hopfenwürzige Hopfung. - Antrunk satt getreidig hellmalzig mit dezenter Karamelnote, feiner Bonbonsüße und eher milder herbal-hopfenwürziger Grundierung. Milder rezent, vollmundig aber etwas hart. Im Abgang feine orangenherbe und herbale Hopfenbittere. - Brauchbares Märzen, etwas glatt zwar aber angenehm gehopft. (11.6.2024.)

Bottle, 0.50l, courtesy of Jürgen. Aroma is grainy, grassy, citrusy and dusty. Pours clear golden color with medium sized soapy white head and average sparkling appearance. Tastes light to medium sweet grainy and citrusy, following is herbal, mouthfeel is rather dry, while finish is pretty bitter. Medium body, oily texture and lively carbonation in palate. Pretty much in the way it should be…

Bottle. Golden heavy carbonation, offwhite foam. Juicy chewy malt with fresh grassy and light floral hop notes. Substatial body but still manages to feel fresh on the palate. Honeyish straw malt finish.

[ As Gut Forsting Frühlingsfest-Märzen ].Clear medium yellow colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, hay, straw, pale malt, light hoppy. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration, pale malt, hay - straw, sugary - sweet malt. 50cl bottle sample @ Borefts 2016. Shared with RB Belgian crew. Dorée, col blanc. Arôme malté, pils, noble, houblonné Munich, appui noble sans plus restant minimaliste. Palais est malté, grains, Munich carapils, Märzen avec un fini légèrement métallique, amertume noble allemande Saaz-like et Tettnanger. Pas spécialement le meilleur exemple et exécution du style, reste classique pour un Lander allemand ne jurant que par sa bière locale.

Sampled from 0.5 l bottle at Borefts 2016. Clear, golden yellow with a white head. Sweetish, grainy and slightly grassy aroma of sweet malts, grains and straw. Sweetish-malty, slightly grassy taste of sweet malts, grains and straw, followed by a short, slightly bitter, a little grassy finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Okay!
