Our Pineapple Sculpin IPA came from one of many small-batch cask experiments to enhance the flavor of our signature IPA. With so many tropical hop notes in Sculpin, how could we not try adding some sweet, juicy pineapple? The combination of fruity flavors and hop intensity definitely packs a punch.

Can share @ Borefts 2016, thanks Trevor.

(Bottle, 0.355 l, at Black Door, 20160920) The beer poured deep amber and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had pineapple juice , fruitiness and citricness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, citricness, pineapple juice, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy and bitter. A nice hoppy brew but the pineapple didn’t hit so well..

Can shared in London - many thanks to Paul. Pours clear gold with a foamy, white head. Big juicy citrus, tangerine, pine. Medium sweet flavour with lots of oily pine, crackers, pale bread, some pineapple, berries. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Sweet finish, oily and resinous, lightly warming, with lots of ripe citrus fruits. A little gooey but not bad.

Can picked up in Houston. It pours clear rich amber with a thick, foamy white head. The aroma is fresh, bright, juicy, big pineapple character, candied fruits, big tropical action and toasty pine. The taste is dry, bitter, pine needles, pineapple, peppery spice, light grapefruit, grassy dankness, straw and light alcohol with a lingering dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. A rather nice varietal. Aroma in particular stands out.

Can split at Bespin, thanks to Bropey, 19/09/16. Clear golden orange with a well appointed off white head. Nose is pineapple chunks, sweet and stcky trops, straw, bread dough, light pine. Taste comprises sweet malts, toasted bread, pineapple, tangerine, melon, faint caramel, grass. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a juicy hop linger. Decent IPA.

Clear gold with a tall mostly white head. Aroma of sweet ripe pineapple. Well balanced, moderate hops. Some dryness, hops and pineapple all in the finish. Nice. Too expensive.

355ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. A rocky white head that stayed all the way over a clear and warm golden coloured body. Spotty lacing. A burst of pineapple aroma, long way. Plain pineapple taste as well, hints of minerals and subdued malty sweetness. Long-lived, dry hopped bitterness to the finish on a fruity backbone. Fine bodied. Tasty and refreshing ( tasted together with the Grapefruit version, Tromsø 25.08.2016).

Bottle, 355 ml at Center 4 Hamburgers, Takayama. Pours yellow with medium white head. Light to moderate hoppiness (probably not the freshest bottle), citrus, fruit, pineapple. Bit resinous. Strong bitter finish. Interesting combo and quite nice.
