We are making a crisp lager and are spicing it a bit with crowberries, which is like a sloe. It's not overly sweet and is high in antioxidants and will be a subtle touch in the beer. Then we are also using dried meadowsweet which is usually used as tea but there's a long tradition to use it in beer. It was used in beer that Vikings produced before they had hops – it has a bit of bitterness and we will add it at the stage when we are adding the aroma hops. We are also using Fuller’s Lager yeast strain, smooth English pale barley malt and some English wheat malt, as well as superb Kentish hops.

30/3/2021. Bottle sample courtesy of danlo, cheers Ed. Pours clear bright gold with a small bubbly white head. Aroma of grain, citrus, malt, caramel, grass, yeast. Medium plus sweetness, light bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily sticky texture, soft carbonation. Not bad.

330ml bottle. Pale golden colour, white foam head that gradually dissipates and aroma of corn grain, grassy, herby. Taste is sweetish, malt & grain, fruity with some hay, grassy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry bitter finish. Quite OK

330ml bottle; Bb 31st Mar 2020. Drank at home on 11th Oct 2020. weak white head on a clear golden amber body. Liked the malty, slightly herbal aroma and taste, not too sure why this has been scored so low by some?

330ml bottle from Waitrose. Amber pour, off white head. Spicy herbal nose. Taste brings pleasant herbal notes alongside a good amber lager character, mild and sessionable with subtle grain hints. Not bad.

Huge thanks to Erzengel for sharing! Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass zippy, small head. Starts mild, malty, shy spicy notes. Shy hoppy background. Quite drinkable. Not bad.

Many thanks to beardedavenger. Smooth mild beginning. Hints of grain. Fruity parts, easy to drink with a floral herbal aftertaste with a nice sessionable grainy back.

Bottle from Waitrose as part of the 2019 Fullers & Friends pack. Dark gold, clear with no real head to speak of. Big bready notes, soft citrus, freshly mown grass. Taste is sweet and herbal with touches of lemon and mint. Long slightly sickly finish. It's okay.

Bottle from Waitrose and drunk at home. Clear deep gold colour lasting white head. Lager aroma no doubt. Yes it's alright actually. A decent premium lager. Some bitterness on the finish. some lemon and lime finishing flavour.. A bit over carbonated, but otherwise not too bad.
