First brewed in 1998. One of the few blond beers (9%) brewed for the Christmas period. Our careful choice of its different malts, its hopping and its spices release exceptional aromas which will make you want to sample it again next winter. EBC 12.

330 ml. typical Bon Secours flip-top bottle from Carrefour supermarket. Orange golden, lightly hazy, fizzing away egg-white head which quickly is entirely gone. Looks a bit like cheap sparkling wine. Nose is cheap esters, plastic, fake honey sweet & grain alcohol in typical run of the mill esters & boozy BE style. Taste is odd plastic sweetness, grain alcohol, plastic honey, light rotting egg,… Plastic & thick oily body, not the best. Warms the throat a bit in a cheap hoock kind of way. Lots of odd plastic sweetness that I cannot place, not a fan of these kinds of beers. I’m definitely not a fan of the brewery that makes this kind of swill.

Caulier’s Christmas tripel, from the typical Bon Secours swingtop bottle. Hazy deep blonde under a thick, creamy white head; estery, pale malt sweetness, lots of yeasty spiciness, candi sugar, honeyish, coriander, citrus peel freshness, sweet and herbally hop bitterish finish with warming, but not really disturbing alcohol, very yeasty as well. Quite enjoyable.

330 ml swing top bottle. Pours a very hazy tawny yellow with light white head. Aromas of lemon wax, honey, yeast and pears. Flavors of lemon wax and white pepper with medicinal floral notes. Odd.

Hazy golden with massive white head and lots of yeast in the glass (with still a massive deposit in the bottle). Yeast, lemon, light sweet malts, some spices. Taste is mainly sweet with a hint of yeasty bitterness. Medium to full body, lots of alcohol. Decent, but has more alcohol and sweetness than good taste.

Blond beer with a lot of alcohol, which dominates the taste. I prefer a dark christmas beer.
