Can from Beer52. Dark brown with a beige head. Smokey meaty chocolate aroma. More of the same on tasting with added bonfire. Quite dry, and a little thin and greasy, I'm generally a fan of smoked beers, and I enjoyed this one.

330ml can: BB 5th Nov 19. Poured into a thistle shaped 'Gordon' glass at home on 17th Feb 19. Cola brown with a ruby red hue, thin and weak off-white head. Smokey aroma and taste, smokey bacon/ham like in both nose and flavour. I note they calm to be using 'Weyermann malts' in the write up for this, well it's a long way from Bamberg and their smokey beers!

Keg at Waterloo Tap. Rich smokey aroma. Opaque Cole brown. Thin translucent off-white head. At the core it's sweet with a sour edge. However it's enveloped by a hazy smokiness. As you'd hope and expect. Medium bodied. Slick with a suggestion of creaminess. Flat carbonation. Long low key smokey finish. Does not benefit from being served so cold which must dull it. Still, a good smokie.
