Rich, complex malt flavours meld with fruity yeast esters to create an experience that is indulgent but still finely balanced. Our take on a classic Belgian Dubbel, infused with spirit notes after a short spell in Armagnac casks to provide roundness and an even greater level of depth, knitting together the different elements.

Bottle shared at Ganz. Dark brown pour, fairly quickly dissipating head. Nose is flowery esters, dried fruits, nuts and cognac. In taste there's an unpleasant bitter character upfront but with time it fades. Then it's esters, light chocolate, dried fruits, cognac and wood, a nutty touch. Closes with a bittersweet finish, has a light body and average carbo. Apart from that weird bitterness it's a solid base beer with pleasant barrel notes, it's just not gonna be my fav.

Bottle shared in Watford - cheers to Fergus. Pours unclear ruddy brown with a creamy tan head. Lightly sweet, lightly tangy and funky, some ripening berries, brett. Medium bodied with delicate carbonation and velvety texture. Subtle tang in the finish, more brett, toasted sugars. Nice one. Not your trad dubbel.

Bottle. CW online. Hazed deep chestnut brown. Fine beige head stays the course. Nose has sweet grain. Banana loaf. Roasted hazelnut. Barrel comes across sweet and vanilla like. Taste is nutty and sweet, with a light vine fruit bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel with fine carbonation, drinking really easy. Gets a little dry and tart. Lingering vinous bitterness to finish. Not massive on the barrel ageing, but definitely a smooth and tasty beer.
