Tea coloured body, an active off-white head and visible effervescence. Nose features roasted malt, light fruity hops and a whif of chocolate. The taste is understated but still interesting. Non-astringent citrus hops, toffee, roasted grain and malt, and that hint of chocolate. drinkable with flavour. Finishes pretty quickly

decent hop aroma, some slight malt, but quite wattery. decent bitterness in the finish, but nothing special.

Un olfactif très difficile à percevoir. A peu près rien ne sort. En forçant la note très fort, on peut y percevoir quelques trace de conifères. Ambrée / cuivré, bonne mousse assez dense, qui tient bien. Quelques traces sont présentes sur le verre. L’entrée en bouche dévoile une texture aqueuse, sans saveur particulière, mais, la finale est sèche et amère, développant des notes de conifère, rehaussées par la présence d’écorce de grain. Les saveurs sont surtout amères, d’écorce de grain, de noix de Grenoble rances et de conifères. On manque un peu de complexité ici.

Originally rated September 2009. Brewed date on bottle neck tag says June 2009. Comes in a 1 Litres brown bottle with a flip-top. Pours a hazy golden-amber colour with a white frothy head, and decent retention and lace. The carbonation is composed of tiny bubbles. Hoppy scent that is floral, but not too strong, with notes of honey and grain. The mouthfeel has a little stick on the tongue. Grainy malt taste with the hop being there again on the medium side. Grassy with light bitterness in the finish. There is still a small coating that tops the brew as it is going down. The aromas and flavours become much better as the beer becomes warmer. Nice IPA that seems to be made for the middle market. Not too hoppy to annoy the swill drinkers, but better brewed than most IPA, for our likings.

Verre, 16 onces, en fût, bue chez Les brasseurs du temps, le 22 mai 2009; oeil : cuivrée, claire, pas d’effervescence, très légère dentelle; nez : malt, léger houblon résineux, léger caramel; bouche : très maltée, houblon légèrement résineux, caramel, pamplemousse, finale très maltée avec une astringence qui vient surprendre, moyennement amère, légèrement sucrée, corps moyen, texture légèrement rugueuse; en résumé : bien ENGLISH Glass, 16-ounce, draught, at Les brasseurs du temps on May 22 2009; eye: copper, clear, no effervescence, slight lacing; nose: malt, light resinous hops, light caramel; mouth: quite malty, lightly resinous hops, caramel, grapefruit, quite malty finale with astringency that arrives like a surprise, mildly bitter, lightly sweet, medium body, slightly grainy texture; overall: fine

Draft: Poured a light copper color ale with a small foamy head. Aroma of light bitter hosp with some malt presence. Taste is a nice aroma of bitter hops with light dry caramel malt in the background. Taste is also a nice enough mix between some bitter hops with a caramel malt backbone. I though this was lacking in hops but still refreshing and without any flaws.

En fût, dégustée au Vices & Versa à Montréal. De couleur orange cuivrée et très faiblement voilée. Nez de houblon floral, légèrement herbeux et citrique (pamplemousse), fruité (agrumes, notes de pêche) et léger de malt du genre caramel très doux. Moyenne-mince en bouche avec un pétillement moyen et une texture légèrement huileuse et crémeuse. Goût moyennement amer de houblon floral, légèrement citrique (pamplemousse) et herbeux (qui dure toute la gorgée) avec un goût fruité (agrumes, notes de pêche et de mangues) lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute un léger goût malté de caramel très doux et légèrement rôti puis en finale on assiste à un regain d’amertume de houblon plus herbeux, plus citrique et avec de petites notes résineuses. Post-goût moyen-long et un peu sec, amer de houblon floral, herbeux, citrique et aux notes herbeuses avec un léger goût fruité (zest d’agrumes) et des petites notes de rôti.

Gold orange IPA with a thin white head. Crisp floral hops in aroma, very smooth and classy. In mouth, a nice grassy malt and floral hops, with notes of grapefruits. A good IPA. On tap at Bieres et Saveurs, Sept. 2, 2006.
