Taste is mineral, pronounced ginger, floral hops, wheat, hints of lemon and clove. Nose is ginger and clove but I wasn't in an environment to really take it in properly. Good

Craft Clerkenwell. Keg. Hazy gold beer, tidy off white head. Palate is light, dry and minerally crisp. Light sweetish pale malts. Floral sweetness, ginger, mild pepper, lemongrass, mint and a trace of lime. Dry crisp finish. Initially pleasing but the dry palate and spice start to catch on the throat and drinkability goes out the window.

Tap. Bundobust, Leeds. Hazy gold. Film of white head. Sweet, peppery saison character. Taste sets off sweet, turning light dry. Some savoury on the palate. Light, sweet finish. I imagine this complements the spicy food in here really well.

Keg at Refectory (Northern Monk) Leeds ,Saturday 21st February 2015 (Indian Spiced Ale 5.2%) Nose is a little banana (Loz picked that up) also a little sweet on nose with some spiciness from the yeast I am guessing. Middling gold with a white head, busy carbonation. A bit confused I reckon, still it’s an Anglo Indian beer so its probably designed to tick the fusion part of confused. Ok. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

Keg @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Golden-blonde with a head. Has a good nose with plenty of spice evident, so was quite surprised to find it had a very moderate neutral flavour with not a lot going on in the taste department.

Keg at the Earl Of Essex, 28/11/14. Clear golden blonde with a moderate white topping. Nose is big on spice, ginger, faint liqourice, musty tones. Taste comprises more ginger - not as intense as the aroma, spice rack, herbals, menthol strains, hint of citric peel. Medium body, moderate carbonation, semi drying close. So so - no thanks!

Keg at the Earl of Essex - London. Pours clear gold with no head. Smells like a mix of mouthwash and aftershave; ugh. The taste is something like mouthwash, with lots of cooling menthol and minty essence, then you also get nips of cinnamon and cardamon, with hints of lemongrass. There’s moderate sweetness. Medium bodied with fine, soft carbonation. After a few gulps the palate starts to adjust and there’s a modicum of enjoyment to be had here. There’s some pale bread, a bit of straw, more cardamon and menthol. It’s odd, to be sure, and I have no idea what the motivations behind this beer could have been, but if you embrace the weirdness you can fid something to like.
