Bottle big thanks to Steve. It pours jet black with a small light tan head. The aroma is sweet, oily, boozy, tangy, apple brandy, chocolate, toffee, honeycomb, apple pie and vanilla. The taste is slick, bitter, oily, sweet, candied fruits, vanilla, fruit cake, apple, date, prune, warming alcohol, fudge, light spice and earth with a warming finish. Full body and fine carbonation. Rich and filthy. Punchy.

Boozy imperial stout, moderately sweet with a heavy chocolate liqueur base accented with cherry, caramel, fig, Raisinettes, and hints of anise and char. Liquor comes through on the finish, with a warm fruitiness on the back laced with oak and brandy. Nice beer, even if it doesn't do much to distinguish itself from other BA imperial stouts beyond the novelty of being aged in a brandy barrel. Pours black with brown edges and a lasting beige head. Texture's on the lighter side for an imperial stout, and packs a modest alcohol burn on the fade. Nose gives up chocolate, brandy, and anise. Not a bad pint.

Bottle sample. Pitch black, viscous with brown lacing. Cocoa, vanilla, some cherry sweetness, some calvados feel to it. Very nice!

22oz bottle, pours a murky, oily black with some white, bubbly head. Nose has plenty of molasses and malt, some chocolate but also some booze, vanilla. Flavor has chocolate covered cherry, malt, molasses, vanilla, cakey. Finishes a bit boozy. Not much identifying this is brandy.

Thnx to the Antwerp Untappd crew ! Pours black, small head. Smell is brandy, quite intensely, but not overpowering. Taste is balanced, between recognizable brandy, black malts. Not as boozy as some of the other versions were. Pretty decent, but not amazing.
