The organic grapes used for Boerenerf's blends are grown by Cantina Pusole.
The grapes go through a ten-day maceration, and the Pajotse cider from Peter's Orchards brings the necessary aroma and acidity.
This cider-wine hybrid is best enjoyed in the summertime. The distinct wine character blends well with the acidity of the cider, created an interesting crisp/bitter mouthfeel.
Fermented, aged & bottled on the farm.

Panda thanks to Cloin: Poured an amber orange with a white head. Aroma is woodsy, apple, vinous grapes, leather. Taste is apple, leather, vinous, tangy, drying a bit at the finish.

Spannender Hybrid!

14/11/2024. Bottle shared by danlo, cheers Ed. Pours almost clear amber bronze with a few bubbles. Aroma is hedgerow, apple, grape, biscuit, leather, dried fruits. Medium sweetness, light bitterness and tartness. Medium body, average carbonation. Very dry bittersweet finish. Liked it.

Sample @ RedDot winebar. Unclear, pinkish body under a small white head. Aroma is mostly apple cider with a hint of red berries. Taste begins like a weak cider, then some subdued nuances appears, smoke, earth, beets and tannins. Medium body with light aftertaste. This is a strange thing, some interesting elements going on but not a favorite.

Bottle, 75cl wine corked. A lightly hazy red drink with a few white bubbles. The aroma is quite vinous, berryish, with a touch of cellar and funk. Carrot and beet root notes and a good dash of cellar. It's tart and full bodied, lightly carbonated, with a touch of tannins. Lightly vinous flavor with a good dash of apple. Cellar, some root vegetables, funk and tannins. Lasting finish with red wine, tannins and apple. Too weird, but not bad. 241107

100ml sample, courtesy of danlo. Thanks, Ed. It is pinkish gold, mostly clear, no head. Light sweet apples, touch of strawberry, maybe even unripe golden plum. Sweet taste, apples and more plums here, light grape. Bit of sourness in the delicate finish. Superb.

750ml bottle from HOTM. 2022 Vintage. Reddish-pink orange colour, short-lived bubbly white head and aroma of apple, grape. Taste is tart, tangy, fruity, apple, grape, currants, with some funk, wood and drying tannins. Medium bodied, light carbonation, dry balanced tart & tannic finish. Nicely drinkable.

750ml bottle from Beer Merchants. It pours lightly hazy rose with a small, bubbly white head. The aroma is bright, zingy, juicy, crunchy grape, red apple, touch of dragon fruit, cherry, redcurrant, juicy, tangy, musty, nice funk to it, barnyard and dry oak. The taste is crispy, dry, snappy, light tannin, touch of sharpness, full hint of acidity, crunchy natural wine, slightly chalky / terracotta, red apple skin, cherry comes through, pomegranate and blood orange with a drying, slightly tannic finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Not big or showy, but classy and balanced. Moreish.

Bottle shared. Hazy light red. Huge dank cellar funk, oak, soft cow dung, soft sweet grapes, sweet apple too. Under medium sweet and bitter. Medium bodied, lots of leathery and dry oak tannins which make it quite dry. Interesting!
