This Brett Pale Ale is fermented on our house culture, plus a few other Brettanomyces strains thrown in for good measure, then hopped with Citra and Wakatu. You can expect a very mild bitterness and a very high drinkability as the dry, funk of the brett pleasantly expresses itself alongside two delicious hops.

Just a light haze on this gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Nose is savoury Brett and citrus peel. Light palate, semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Slightly thin pale malts but smooth and sweet enough for this brew. Obvious Brett but quite smooth, gets a little saltier towards the back end. Smooth citrus, semi ripe, mellow orange and tangerine with a touch of very soft lemon. Light finish. Nice. Much better than the previous Kerbel Brett PA.

Bottle. Color: Lightly hazy golden, white head. Aroma: Brett funk, hop, citrus fruit. Taste: Floral hop, funky Brett notes, leathery hints, subtle orange and hints of lemon and orange peel. Moderate to over moderate bitter, light sweetness, slightly sourish. Medium body, average carbonation. Dry-ish finish. Very nice one.

Bottle. Beer Central Sheffield. Hazed orange gold. Nice Kernel swede. Nose has pithy citrus. Leathery brett. Bready malt. Orange peel and flesh. Nip of floral herb. Taste is mellow sweet with a light herb bitterness. Light bodied with foamy carbonation. Dry and light bitter finish. Nice one, albeit a little thin maybe.

On tap at The Made Inn Ashford. Hazy gold colour lasting white head. I thought amazingly fruity and tasty. Good body light brett. but it's the finishing fruit that is the best. excellent

Bottle at home, from HOTM online, 18/04/22. Lightly hazed golden orange with a white head. Nose is mellow but prominent brett, tangerine, melon, papaya, orange zest, grass, airy malts. Taste comprises orange pith, papaya, modest brett contrasted with the nose, melon, grass, soft malts, light herb. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close splashed with mellow light juicy hop bitterness. Solid.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from HOTM. Pours very slightly hazed gold with a modest, foamy white head. Lightly sweet, definitely bretty-funky, some oak, Chardonnay, semi-ripe lemon, wheat bread. Light bodied with delicate carbonation. Sweet finish but with some funky dryness, a bit of buttery white wine, more ripening citrus, a little hay bale. Good stuff overall.

Bottle from House of Trembling Madness. It pours hazy golden - yellow with a medium fluffy white head. The aroma is sweaty and musty, filthy brett, damp funk, mucky barnyard, manure, damp hay, bright tropical fruits, candy, fruitella, skittles, refreshers, sherbet and a splash of lemonade. The taste is dry, pleasing bitterness, damp grass, hay, straw, bready malt, sponge cake, spicy, funky barnyard, brett, zingy citrus, pithy lemon, splash of lemonade, yellow plum, lemon drizzle cake and wood with a drying finish. Lighter end of medium body and moderate carbonation. Aroma is crazy good. Love it.
