3.9% cask handpull at The Ship & Mitre Liverpool. Clear dark gold lasting white head. Malty session bitter. A little sweaty on the aroma. Some malt no much hop. Ok. If a bit bland.

500ml bottle at home on 23rd Feb 2016. Poured slowly into an Abbot Ale badged glass tankard. Light amber/golden body, clear and clean: on top a full white head. Decent enough blend with neither the malts or hop dominating the nose or taste: some light fruitiness flavour wise and a mild bitter finish.

Bright clear gold beer, small white head. Palate is semi dry and mildly crisp. Dry clean malts, trace of unsweet toffee. Bitter hops - dried fruits, unsweet. Light dry finish. Noble hop linger. Clean but bog standard stuff.

Bottle. nose is biscuit, malt, slight berry. Taste is malt, bramble, pepper, leading to a soft biscuit finish. Mouthfeel is suitable. A nice bitter.

Golden-amber. Slightly fruity and lightly spicy nose. Bitter, juicy, biscuity, moreish...very well balanced. Could drink a lot of this.

Cask-conditioned at the Three Tuns, Bristol 27/2/2014. Amber with a slight, white head. Fruity bitter, with a touch of biscuity malt, floral hops and pleasantly bitter finish. Very enjoyable.

500ml bottle from Beer Hawk - Ruby coloured body, thin white head. Nose of caramel, toffee and a hint of citrussy hops. Malty taste, also a bit metallic, but not unpleasant.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; clear amber pour with medium off white head, doughy malt aroma, your standard MOR English bitter taste I’m not going to review this properly doesn’t deserve it, basic.

Golden bitter with a small creamy head. Medium bitterness and relatively smooth although not quite ’best’ quality in this respect.
