473ml can from the lcbo. Clear copper pour, with a small white head. Pleasant toasted, caramel malts aroma with some slightly piney, but mostly grassy hops. Mouth feel and carb are right on track. Finish is light to medium bitter with alot of grassy hops, and slightly biscuity malts, with light caramels and toasty grains. Nothing great, but well made.

Aromas of roasted grains, hazelnuts, toast on a caramelized base.
Dark copper in colour with orange and red reflections.
Medium-thickness foam that holds up as best it can.
The taste is fruity on the palate with an overly subtle caramel.
Notes of red fruits with a slight acidity.
Hops are earthy and leafy rather than American.
Noticeable absence of caramelized notes as well as the use of American hops in this rather fruity and earthy Amber Ale.
Very moderately appreciated!

A safe and clean beer. Very mild flavours, just a bit of caramel on top of a light lager. Well made summer amber though. oakville beer store

Can: Poured a clear amber color ale with a medium foamy head with OK retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of dry caramelized malt with light grainy notes is not the most interesting. Taste is also dominated by caramelized malt with grainy notes. Body is about average with OK carbonation. Boring amber ale that I can’t’ really say I would wish to drink again.

This ale poured a amber colour with a minimal head. Scents include vanilla, cream, perfume and rubber gloves. First swig was a little watery with flavours of malt, must and a little hop. Finish is slightly bitter with flavours of malt and old books lingering.

Pours a clean rich amber colour with a frothy warm cap, decent retention and lacing. Typical amber aroma with roasted malts, caramel, malts, grain and hops. The caramel does show a little more than most amber ales after breathing. It also shows up in the taste. Grainy finish with the mild hop lingering. Medium-bodied, so just a plain refreshing amber ale.

A reddish amber ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, a weak nutty malt, a bit off. In mouth, a sweet nutty malt with grassy hops, a bit of solvent and wood extract, boiled veggies. On tap at National Capital Craft Beer Festival, August 17, 2012.
