Keg at Beavertap, 29/11/14. Murky light cherry red with little in the way of a covering. Nose is tarte berries, spice, earthy notes, straw, cherry skins. Taste comprises mixed berry compote, light sea salt, spice, straw, boysenberry, tarte berry rinse. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with light tarte bitterings. Solid berry Gose.

Tap. Friends of Ham, Leeds. Colour of pink rhubarb. Halo of white. Curious bready, fruity, black fruit funk aroma. Taste is dry, fruity tartness. Sourness on the palate. Nice and crisp. Finish is dry, tart, with a little sourness. Very refreshing, tasty beer.

Tap at Craft Bier Fest Wien. Aroma pronounced berries. I’d say cherry/strawberry, but never mind. Seems a bit young. Tempting. Completely hazy pink-red colour, pinkish head. Taste is clearly betraying the fruit influence, berries. Remains sour, but pleasantly so. Easily drinkable. Very good fruit beer.

Lettdrikkelig.

From tap at What’s Brewing smaksfest 14.11.14. Muddy pink. Not much head. Aroma of home-made red berry juice gone sour. Refreshing taste of rhubarb and garden berries.

Sample on tap at What’s Brewing Beer Festival, Stavanger, as Beavertown The Gose Strikes Black. ABV 4.8%. Pinkish-red colour. Moderate aroma of blackberries, sea water and dust. Unusual flavour ( to say the least) of very sour plums and unripe blackberries, some salt, hints of sour & salty candy. Not very sweet though, low bitterness.
