Bottle. Hazy golden. Hay, bitterness. Metallic, soapy. Alrightish. But not actually drinkable.

0.5l bottle, enormous thanks Fin and Loz! Camper beer No. 3. Misty pale golden body, off-white head. Creamy, soft, malty, lightly grainy aroma, vague hoppiness, citric though and floral when it is, bit yeasty too. Soft, dry, bit jammy fruity taste, oxidation, nice body, light herbal finish, clearly past its BB....

Bottle ordered from the brewery webshop and consumed at home Wednesday 17th May 2023 listening to Steve Lamaq on 6Music and about to start cooking Either Cannelloni or Salmon and Cream Cheese stuffed Pasta Shells. Pours mid gold with a but very hazy, mid sized white head. As Weizen Slayer who is a very good reviewer states this has a lot in common with Wilder Wald and Frühlingsgenuss, I also agree that it isn't a patch on those two. However, I do think that I am bucking the trend as I think more of this than Dave and Weizen Slayer, but I really do like this brewery so maybe there is a little bit of that as well. Interestingly on first taste I thought that I picked up a little eggy 'Burton Snatch' on this, perhaps not that exactly but there was something like that, though it soon departed. Great mouthfeel, nice soft carbonation. The hoppiness is interesting, it clearly differs from the Frühlingsgenuss, though the hops used are the same, albeit different dry hopping hops are used here and of course quantities of same hops are likely to be different. This just is a little bit prickly for the style, it's nice, I like the hoppiness but perhaps a little bit of tweaking on the maltiness, that said I still think that it's a very good beer and I like the direction that this very traditional brewery are heading

Bottle from the brewery Webshop. Moderate haze, moderate head, moderately spicy traditionally-hopped nose. Flavor has a nice grain hint that's not overwhelming. But the bitterness is a bit astringent, in that back-of-tongue puckery kind of way. Light citrus and pine with a long-lasting bitter note. Maybe water chem or mash pH was not optimal, or my tongue could just be broken today. I'll have to drink a known beer later and compare.
