A smooth and pleasant brown ale, I could say a good union between the Belgian and English side, sweet, honey, typical side of nuts, 12.05.2019, buying it at Colmar, drinking it at Epalinges.

Aromatisée au miel de fleur d'alsace, je m'attendais à plus de gourmandise sur cette Miel Harmonie de Bendorf, qui est de surcroît relativement simple en arôme. Le miel est cependant bien dosé et celui-ci est même un peu trop discret, les arômes de caramel, prune et candy étant bien plus présents. L'amertume avec 35 d'IBU est bien dosé (utilisation de Nugget, Cascade, Triskel) et l'alcool, à 7 % est honorable. Le visuel est sur un brun foncé quasiment sans mousse. Le nez est sur le caramel, la prune, le candy avec une touche de café. Le miel ne s'exprimera que réellement sur le final, et encore discrètement et sur un final qui est relativement court. La texture en bouche est très fine. L'attaque est sur une bonne intensité mais sans variations et reprenant les arômes présents au nez. Douceur moyenne avec une deuxième bouche qui se veut un brin plus houblonné mais toujours plat. L'arrière bouche est un peu plus pêchue avec un alcool qui s'exprime enfin. La corpulence est très moyenne. J'attendais un peu plus d'Alsace dans cette bière.

Bottle. Unclear brown color with beige head. Aroma is honey, chocolate, rather sweet, quite nice. Taste is the same. Foamy carbonation.

Bottle. Dark brown, creamy brown head. Roast, honey, nutty Danish. Medium light foamy chewy, fun honey foam.

Darker brown. Aroma is light honey black bread some perfume. Taste is sour bubbly carbonation with sweet honey and black bread. Quite spicy. Hard to drink.

Bottle, dark brown with a nice head. Light grains in the nose. Very sweet flavor, high carbonation, caramel light-roasted grains.

330ml bottle from Chope'n Shop Hazebrouck, drunk at home watching Children of the Korn. Pours a deep hazed brown, small off-white head. Aroma of dark malt, amber malt, toffee, oak. Rich, oaky old ale character, caramel shades, some nutty moments. No honey notes unfortunately, quite heavy going malt body. Seemed promising but unfortunately falls short of average.

Brown with a thin, foamy to frothy head that fades away. Very little aroma—a touch of honey. Taste is mildly sweet, a mix of caramel, toast, and a mild cherry syrup undertone. Really, kind of empty though. Inoffensive but incomplete.

Bottle sample @ Vini Birre Ribelli ’16. Ambrée, col fin beige. Arôme malté, cara pâle, miel est modéré avec un apport léger organique, les houblons assez variés restent trop en retrait conférant un bouquet moyen fruité. Palais est léger, malté caramel plus présent, biscuité avec une petite douceur de miel qui arrive sur la fin. Les effets houblonnés s’estompent un peu sur la base malt plus dominante. J’attendais plus des houblons.

Clear red brown beer, small creamy off-white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: lots of oxidation, caramel, honey, dried fruits. MF: soft carbon, full body. Taste: sweet start, very very sugary, honey, some caramel, lots of overripe banana, soft bitterness, bit metallic, soft acidity. Aftertaste: bitter touch, very sugary, sweet caramel, lots of honey. Not my cup of honey tea.
