CBJ Tasting. Thanks to the team. Opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Airy and semi dry palate, good fine carbonation. Slightly spicy dark chocolate malts, thin. A shit load of cinnamon and other spices. Light spicy finish. Too much table spice for me.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a medium dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of chocolate notes with some bourbon notes with light vanilla with plenty of spices (cloves, ginger, cinnamon). Taste is also a nice mix of chocolate malt with bourbon and some strong spice notes of cinnamon, ginger and cloves. Body is about average for style with good carbonation and no real perceptible alcohol notes. Well brewed pastry stout with a nice mix of spices which provides a different style of pastry stout.
A deep dark stout with a very thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, licorice, light spices, pleasant and rich. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, chinese spices, light cloves, alcohol warmth, very nice.

bomber bottle 2021 release. Opaque black/brown pour with a small brown head. The aroma is strong with vanilla, chocolates, a spice--perhaps nutmeg, and something rather perfumy. The taste is chocolates, cocoa, a bit of dried ginger plus a mélange of spices that cant be singled out individually but work rather nicely together to create a 'spiced flavor'. The palate is full and creamy smooth. Finishes long with lingering spices. Overall: decent. Any whiskey barrel alluded to in the label is obscured by the spices (that are deftly applied). Paired well with some white Vermont cheddar cheese .
