A big, smooth, balanced stout brewed with sea salt, chillies and cacao nibs. Full bodied with a touch of salt. Scotch Bonnet chillies give at first a fresh fruitiness and then lead to a gentle warming. The whole beer is balanced by a small addition of cacao nibs, used to add a smoothness to the body, rather than to impart a chocolate character. A perfect match for oysters, but equally as delicious on its own. Brewed with Bramling Cross and Summit.

Keg at the Waterloo Tap, 21/04/17. Pitch black with a decent tan cap. Nose is charr, dark chocoalte, black peppery spice, rich roast, dark fruits, liquorice whisper. Taste comprises moderately bitter roast character, coffee grinds, green chilli kick but well restrained, charr, dark toffee, cocoa nibs, light salt licks bring up the rear. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Solid well balanced stout.

Thank you! Sampled draft @ Delirium Hoppy Loft. Black, little tanned bubbles. Nose is thick mocha, chocolate, coffee, thick umami. Taste is pretty big mocha chocolate, umami & soy sauce but they compliment the mocha mixed with maple. Taste is coffee & chocolate. I cannot say that I really got the chili or sea salt but it is a very nice beer & it is the first Anspach & Hobday beer not to disappoint me.
