High fermentation, bottle refermentation. Brewed with five different malts, four of which are roasted. Black color, taste of toast and coffee but not too bitterness or sharp; a very distinctive beer, reserved for lovers of "stout".

330ml bottle from Leclerc Lamorlaye. Pours a deep hazy brown, large off-white cream coloured head. Sweetish brune nose. Taste is sweet, moderately spicy brune territory, soft caramel malt, some grain, ryebread. Decent brune.

330 ml bottle. Pour brown with full head. Aromas of dry caramel, toasted malts, and raisins. Flavors of same with metallic yeasty notes and very dry nutty chocolate. A nice brune.

Bottle at Le Supercoin, Paris on 29th November 2014. Deep red-black with pale tan head and almost no lacing. Roasty aroma with spices and hint of smoke. Richly spicy, herby and roasty in-mouth with sweet malts. Fruity finish with caramel and roast malts. Zingy mouthfeel and medium body.

Bottled@HBF2013. Brown colour, small beigeish brown head. Aroma is sweet malts, tofgfee and some mnild caramel and sugary notes. Flavour is ripe fruits, raisins, toffee with some slight bitter and tart wooden notes. Quite dry palate.

Skyview Tasting, 2/23/13. Purchased in Paris, October 2011. Very dark brown color. Malt and grain aroma. Roasted grain in the flavor with light sweetness. This beer does have good palate, and for a brown ale, it has a lot of flavor.
