Pint at Westminster Arms, London. Floral hop nose. Copper clear beer. Thin but frothy head. Mouthfeel is thin with clean hop bitterness. There’s a touch of malt then.........long floral hop finish. Insubstantial but refreshing.

Cask at The Mason’s Arms, Solihull. Poured a crystal clear amber with a big white frothy and long-lasting head. The aroma is weak malty leading to an uber malty, medium to weak bitter flavour. It’s one of those liquid Ovaltine drinks, with some nice smooth bitterness on the palate. Ideal for a session.

Cask@The Red Lion, Copenhagen - amber pour with small white head. Light hoppy notes, some toffee, nutty nuances with a biscuity caramel malt base. Pretty decent. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Golden with a small frothy head. It has the familiar Shepherd Neame soapy hop aroma and a small fruitiness.

Cask at The Jamaica Inn, thanks to Alastair. Pours clear, golden-brown with a fine, white foam head. Lightly toasted malts in the nose with subtle fruits. Light sweet flavor, some toasty malts, faint leafy bitters, faint ripe fruits. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Light sweet finish, bread, mild fruit, light earthy bitterness. A very basic bitter.

[Cask at Neptune’s Hall, Broadstairs] Pale amber, slight white head. Unpleasant vegetable & green leaf smell. Better on tasting - it’s smooth and quite resinous with a slight sparkle. There’s some caramel and grass to offset the smell, but it’s still really not very pleasant.
