The triple choclate stout is a unique interpretation of the style, combining three different chocolate malts, cacao nibs and 63 percent semi-sweet chocolate, making it a sinfully delicious brew. The addition of blackstrap molasses produces an earthy, caramelized tone in an already complex flavor profile. It's creamy, milkshake-like mouthfeel earns this beer the distinction of being dessert in glass.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 12/27/12

Aroma: The nose is milk chocolate, some roasted malts, brown sugar/molasses, and alcohol
Appearance: It pours a dark brown-black color with a small, quickly dissipating medium brown head
Flavor: It is light-medium sweet, with some roasted flavors, dark malts, and a mild bitterness
Palate: The body is medium-full, it feels somewhat sticky, creamy, and surprisingly hot considering its 7%
Overall Impression: I thought this one was plenty solid, but it wasn't a top notch offering. As far as qualms go, at 7% it shouldn't feel this hot. Also, the hops were too hidden, I just couldn't really tell they were present. Despite a few small issues, this is a solid one.

12 oz. bottle from The Party Source, Bellevue, KY. After pouring into a snifter, I noticed the rich chocolate aroma immediately. Flavor started with sweet chocolate supported by dry roast and light coffee bitterness. The body is kind of thin. Also has lactose sourness in the finish. Overall with a name like triple chocolate, I was expecting much more chocolate malt and coffee flavors. Still after that being stated; not a bad drink by any means.

A deep dark stout with a thick frothy mocha head. In aroma, strong vanilla and chocolate, creamy notes, smooth, a bit of wet dog, and powdery notes. In mouth, sweet chocolate sweet malt with sustained roasted coffee bitterness, long in mouth, overall, a big nice chocolate stout. Shared with GRM.

Opaque black beer. Very frothy chocolate head, dies quickly. Very light soft frothy palate. Minerally start with a little tang. Trace of molasses and some chocolate. An odd stout this - light as a feather and all minerally tang. Not much else going on except a little plummy fruit at the end.

Purchased at Armanetti in Chicago, IL; enjoyed on a Thursday night prior to leaving for a out-of-country work trip. Appearance is pitch black, thin tan rim around the glass. Aroma of very dark chocolate, a bit of lactose, kind of a faint aroma but good. Taste is decent, the molasses definitely comes out a bit more, has a rich body, moderate carbonation. It’s decent, I’m not really too into it, but it tastes pretty good.

Opaque black pour with a small, fading tan head. Cocoa, coffee and roast malt aroma. Well balanced Stout. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Bottle, 7%. Chocolate aroma, bitter cocoa powder. Very dark brown colour. Small dark brown head. The flavour has a lot of chocolate, sweetish with a rough bitterness in the finish. Alcohol bitterness. Why so much alcohol? Would have been better at 5%, I am sure.

Bottle at Peculier Pub. Pours a pitch black-brown with a medium, smooth beige head. Strong roasted malt aroma with considerable amounts of chocolate. Flavor is fairly sweet, but the chocolate is extremely bitter an acidic, which lessens the prominence of the sugar. There are also some bitter notes, particularly towards the end. Medium bodied with soft carbonation and a smooth texture. Finishes very roasty, dry, and slightly bitter. Very good.
