Draft. A black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, and soy sauce. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, prunes, and chocolate, leading to a bitter finish.

22nd Dec 2020: 2019 version was better than this review and the 2020 version is the best so far. 26th March 2018; Shrewsbury Beer Exchange Group in Chez Sophie. Last beer of the night (18 shared between 5 of us). 75cl bottle from Mike, cheers mate. Black pour, lightly tanned topping. Malts rule the nose and taste, some coffee and caramel in the aroma, more subtle in the flavour, but still there, nice wine like hints within the taste, very pleasant end to a lovely evening of beer drinking with friends.
