More like a praline sour than a praline stout. The overwhelming flavour is cherries and plums with plenty of lemon citrus late. There is certainly a lot of Belgian chocolate in the aroma and it's an enjoyable one to drink. Just not what I was expecting, and not enough malt for me.

(On tap) Black with a thin tan head. Awesome aroma of chocolate with nuts and hints of banana. Medium body with plenty of soft carbonation. Taste is rich and complex - chocolate, nuts, with a hint of bitterness in the finish. Very impressive beer.

On handpull at the New Sydney Hotel. Pours black with a tan head. Hazelnuts, dark chocolate, coffee. Flavour is the same with a slightly sour apple note in the finish. Medium body. Not bad, but I don't think I got exactly what the brewery intended.

Bottle: Poured a brown color ale with a large light brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of praline flavours with light grainy malt notes and some roasted malt is somewhat off-balance. Taste is a mix of praline flavours with a grainy malt profile, light residual sugar and light roasted malt. Body is light with good carbonation. I wasn’t fond of this beer with fake praline notes and a messy malt backbone.

Bodney Towers bottle share. Thanks to Mr Tips. Opaque dark brown beer, good tan head. Nose of chocolate fudge. Airy palate, very light and with modest fine carbonation. Chocolate fudge carries over from the nose into tangy dark malts and dark fruits. The tangy fruits get sharper on the airy finish. Nicely joined up, quite unusual.

Bottle at LKS - thanks to Mr Tipz. It pours black with a thick light tan head. The aroma is fresh, sweet, big nutella character, chocolate, toasted nut, wood, marshmallow and some jammy fruits. The taste is toasty, roasted malt, earthy, toasted nut, charred stuff, jammy berry, cocoa and Tunnock's teacake with a dry, toasty finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Good fun overall.

Bottle at Grape & Grain, Moorabbin. Pours brown black with a tan head. Aroma: dark malts, Belgian yeast, milk chocolate, Nutella. Taste: moderate sweet, earthy, roasted malts, cocoa, hazelnuts, lightly acidic. I also got a weird blue cheese like aftertaste. Medium bodied, soft, full carb. Bittersweet expresso finish. Pretty good apart from that cheese

Bottle shared in Hackney - many thanks to Tipple. Pours black-brown with a creamy, tan head. A little artificial in the nose, some chocolate, burnt nuts. Light sweet flavour with chalky cocoa, more burnt nuts, tangy berries. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Lightly warming finish, some odd cocoa character, tangy berries. Interesting. So so.
