Bottle sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham! Golden colour, some bubbles on top that dissipate away and aroma of apple, rum, funk. Taste is sweetish, mellow apple, leathery funk, wood, with rum notes and alittle tartness. Medium bodied, low carbonation, medium-dry finish with lingering sweetness. Nicely drinkable

10/4/2020. Bottle from Bacchanalia, Mill Road, Cambridge. Pours virtually clear dark gold with a small bubbly white head. Aroma is very woody, funky, baked apple, light rum, leathery and acidic. Light sugary sweetness, quite tart, tannic and dry. Medium body, soft to flat carbonation. Wooden cask present throughout, with a dry and lightly acidic apple vinegar finish. Very drinkable.

500ml bottle, thanks Grumbo for this! Pours a deep gold, clear. Aroma is lightly wild, sour. Taste is a little sherbetty, wild, gentle apple fruit, a bit indistinct, light herbal bitterness, interesting natural cider.

(Cask at Southampton Arms, Gospel Oak, London, 25 July 2019) Pale amber colour with brief, bubbly head. Fruity nose with notes of apples, citrus, lime and a touch of mint. Fruity, slightly tart taste with apples, citrus, lime, hints of glue and a mild acidity in the finish. More than medium body, with slight sweetness. Tasty and well balanced, Quite nice.
