Bottle at Craft Islington share, thanks to Kenny. It pours jet black with a thick tan head. The aroma is soft, sweet, juicy, jammy, tangy, figgy pudding, vanilla, toasted marshmallow and cocoa. The taste is slick, toasty, roasted malt, jammy, plum, treacle, charred wood, booze, spice, ash and cocoa with a drying, bitter-sweet finish. Medium - full body and fine carbonation. A bit chewy and woody perhaps, but enjoyable nonetheless.

Clear dark golden color with a fine off white head. Ok lacing. Moderate intensity in the aroma. Medium body and a average to soft carbonation level. Ok balance between sweetness and bitterness. Mild grapefruit, fruity, herbal and caramel malty flavor. Also some oxidation I guess. Not really fresh and nice like an apa should be. Still drinkable.

Medium sweet flavour with nicely rounded, dry cocoa character, a bit of alcohol boost, some dried berries, raisins, mellow bitterness. Full bodied, lightly chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming finish, a little sticky, with some further berries, rich cocoa. Nice one.

Taste is dry sour-ish roasted, weeds, minerals, burnt grain, bark, paper, metal tank, hay, toast, alcohol, roasted coffee oak. Medium bitterness, watery and slightly harsh mineraly mouthfeel.
