Our owners are the brewers and 100% of our beer is brewed here at our location in Davenport. We also can our beers and craft sodas on site. We have a small tasting room and a large patio with views of the roller dam on the Mississippi River. Once a month we hold a tasting party to introduce our newest seasonal or small batch beers.

Pour is an almost black with almost no head at all. Aroma is a nice roasted malt with enough chocolate coming off it to make it interesting. Flavor is bitter chocolate with a decent roast and some metal toward the end. Mouth feel is thick and oliy with a nice dry roasted malt left on the tongue. This is way more in the porter/ stout category than a brown ale. Solid beer with a real heavy malt presence.

Can poured into a shaker. Pours a clear, dark brown with minimal head. Aroma of coco, a little fruit and some grain. Taste is light bitter. Grains with citrus and coco. Light bodied with a thin texture. Soft carbonation and a decently long finish. Overall, pretty good. Drinkable, light and refreshing. Nothing super special but still very enjoyable.

16oz can sent direct from the brewery via USPS. Hazy orange body. Thin off-white head. Absolutely putrid and vile aroma. This is really surprisingly bad...kind of like cheap, bad Eastern European stuff, with no geographic/cultural amusement factor. I mean, really not good. I’m not comfortable saying this is the worst beer ever, but it deserves an honorable mention. Absolutely putrid and vile aroma.

Can sampled at a tasting. From notes. Lots of roasty notes with a little citrus. Interesting combination, but I dont know if it really works.

16oz can pours a hazy amber with some cloudy head. Nose is weird, some carrot, a little mint, some tomato. Flavor is lightly malty, celery salt, tomato skin, carrot peel. Weak finish. Really strange and just plain bad.

12oz can. Light golden yellow until the syrupy black part came out at the end, making it hazier and darker. Pretty gross to see an additive that fully separates like that. Big, loud white head. Has some biting sour sharpness, another infected can from Great River...will be the last time I buy their product on the shelf. Gross perfume chemical aroma. Biting, sharp, aggressive body..no chocolate flavor. This beer is an absolute loser. I like the concept. The execution is terrible.
