16 ounce can courtesy of pepsican. Thanks! Pours a clear amber color with a large frothy white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of citrus hops. The taste is citrus hops, herbal notes, caramel malts. Medium bodied. Pretty generic but well made.

16oz can, bought in the Quad Cities. Poured a completely black color with a small, dark brown head. Aroma was a bitter coffee note, with a slightly roasted malt character. Flavor was like a chilled iced coffee without a single drop of creme or sugar. Not really as coffee forward as I would have expected from what I expect from most coffee stouts, but I enjoyed this one.

16oz can poured into a shaker. Not much for aroma thanks to the frosted glass. I pretty much only get spicy malt. Taste is light bitter. Spicy malt, sour green apples and a little chocolate. Medium bodied with a slick texture. Lively carbonation and a decently long finish. Overall, not bad but i wouldnt seek it oit.

16 oz can picked up from a local grocery store. Poured a slightly hazy yellow-orange color with a thick white head. Aroma is sweet notes of orange, with some spice and wheaty, bready yeast. Flavor was a bit more sweet citrus than I had expected. Some coriander, wheat notes. Not too bad.

On tap at SPSBF. Pours a clear gold with an off-white head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has a grassy hop profile with a sweet grain and caramel backing. Flavor is a bit thin with some sweet grains and hay with only a hint of grassy hops.

Pint can purchased at US Liquor and Wine in Minnetonka, Minnesota . The pour is a golden copper with a foamy 2 inch off white head. The aroma is toasted malt, a touch of earth, and a bit of spice hop. The taste is some spice bitterness, then turns to the toasted malt. A bit of a motor oil dirtiness initially, though that cleared a bit. The palate is medium bodied, lowish carbonation, malt sweet and bitter finish. Just ok.

Can thanks to Guerde! Pours very brown/black with a creamy dark tan head. My but there’s a strong coffee aroma. Full bodied. Flavor is very coffee, very chicory? herby? something veg, with a lot of dark burnt malt, and I think a subtle hint of chocolate. Anyway there is something that suggests a strong green plant aspect. This is bound to get your attention. Startlingly good.

16 ounce can thanks to Ed! Pours a wonderful jet black hue with a medium thick brown head. The aroma is heavy sweet coffee. A nice flavor of rich sweet coffee, light chalk, some dark fruit, pretty dry, quite drinkable. Nice.

Taster at the brewery. Apparently they do a series in different styles in the Templeton barrels. This is was a blend of their Roller Dam Red and the 483 Pale, so they called it Copper Ale. But now I see they’ve had a Copper Ale already out. Be that as it may, this one was in a Templeton barrel. Its smell doesn’t settle specifically tot a rye whiskey barrel, but the extra whiskey note is there anyway. Bright amber in the sampler makes it look right enough like a whiskey. And the taste is of whiskey with a bit of sweetness. A bit thin compared to other barrel-aged beers, but then there’s that touch of oak, and if I can notice that, then all’s well. Finishes off deliciously like a Bourbon & Branch.
